The NCAA have finished their conference playoffs and the regionals start tomorrow!
The CHL playoffs start tonight!
The Canucks are in a top four draft spot!
So, as always, there is tonnes to digest in this week’s Blackfish – so pitter patter, let’s get at er!

- Dmitry Zhukenov played two games this week – he had 3 assists, +2 & 3 SOG (Same as last week – Shoot more kid!)
- Carl Neill played two games this week – he ended the week with one assist, -2 and 7 SOG.
- Tate Olson was held pointless in his only contest this week – he was -1 and had 2 PIM
- Kyle Pettit played three games this week – he had 1 goal, was +3 and had 4 SOG
- Guillaume Brisebois is currently injured – still unable to determine injury, hopefully it is not another concussion like he suffered earlier this season
- Mackenze Stewart played two games this week – he ended with one goal. Since Tri-City did not make the playoffs, his WHL season is over. No word yet on him going to the ECHL or AHL.

- Boeser played two games this past weekend – he had 3 assists. He won the NCHC Rookie of the Year and NCHC Three stars award on Thursday night. He is now on a 9 game point streak. North Dakota will face Northeastern in the Mid-West NCAA regionals.
- Northeastern won the Hockey East Championship! Gaudette had a goal and an assist in the Semi-finals against Boston College, and then scored in the finals. As mentioned, Northeastern will face North Dakota on Friday in the Mid-West Semi-Finals.

- Thatcher Demko and Boston College lost 5-4 in the Hockey East Semi-finals to Northeastern. Demko was very good, but just couldn’t seem to make the next save. He did make this beauty of a save:

- Rodin was signed to a one year contract (for next season) by the Canucks this week. So he obviously won’t be back on Blackfish next year
- Same could likely be said about Tryamkin – he likely won’t be making any more appearances here
- Lukas Jasek played three playoff games for Trinec Junior team – he had 2 goals and 3 assists in 3 games. The best of five series against Mountfield HK U21 is tied at two games each with this deciding game tomorrow night.

- Curtis Valk had two goals and two assists in the three games this week for Kalamazoo – he had 9 SOG and was +5. He remains the only Wing to be above a PPG, yet still doesn’t get a recall to Utica.
- Anton Cederholm was held pointless this week – he was +2, with 4 SOG and 6 PIM
- Even McEneny had three assists over the three games this week.
