It’s a new year, which means that the ‘unofficial’ second half to the season kicks off!
The CHL leagues trading deadlines are fast approaching, with one Canucks prospect already on the move. The World Juniors conclude tonight with Canada or US walking away with the gold medal.
Now is the time for prospects to make hay!

  • Carl Neill was traded to the Charlottetown Islanders yesterday – In his last week with Sherbrooke – he put up four (one goal and three assists) in two games. He currently leads all QMJHL defenceman in scoring.
  • Brett Mckenzie scored two goals in two games for North Bay this past week.
  • Dmitry Zhukenov had six points in three games for Chicoutimi.
  • Jakob Stukel continues his hot streak – with five points in three games this past week for Calgary.
  • Rodrigo Abols appeared in one game this past week where he was held without a point.
  • Olli Juolevi ends the World Juniors with 2 assists in six games for Finland. He will return to London with hopes of making some noise in the OHL playoffs.
  • Guillaume Brisebois had one assist in three games for Charlottetown.
  • Tate Olson was held off the scoresheet in his one game this past week.
  • Cole Candella had a decent week with 2 assists in three games.
