alt
Jan 19, 2017, 15:00 ESTUpdated:
We are back with another Blackfish!
Don’t know if you have heard of this Brock Boeser kid, but he’s good! He’s back from injury and making everyone feel slightly better about the Canucks prospect pool!
One of the Canucks prospects will be in Langley this upcoming game for a tilt with the Vancouver Giants.
All of this and more in this weeks edition!

  • Carl Neill has had a bit of a slow start for Charlottetown – only two points in his first four games there. Nothing to be concerned about, as he should start putting up points soon.
  • Brett Mckenzie with four assists in the six games since our last update.
  • Three points in six games for Dmitry Zhukenov has he falls below a PPG pace.
  • One goal and four assists in six WHL games since our last update for Jakob Stukel. His goal was a nice one:
  • Rodrigo Abols with one goal and four assists in the past two weeks.
  • Olli Juolevi ends the World Juniors with 2 assists in six games for Finland. He will return to London with hopes of making some noise in the OHL playoffs.
  • Guillaume Brisebois had one goal and two assists in his five games over the past two weeks. His goal:
  • Tate Olson appears to be rounding the corner offensively – he had one goal and one assist in five games over the past two weeks. Not great #’s but given how low his point totals are, it’s encouraging. Prince George is visiting the Vancouver Giants at the LEC on Monday – so, if you want to see him live, now is your chance!
  • Cole Candella with one assist over the past two weeks.

  • Since January 5th (our last update) – the following transactions have occurred:
  • Marco Roy was recalled from the ECHL.
  • Andrey Pedan was recalled to the Canucks, and then reassigned earlier today.
  • Jordan Subban was recalled by the Canucks earlier today!
  • Defenceman Alex Wall and goaltender Jonah Imoo were signed to a PTO and have since been released. Goaltender Joe Spagnoli was signed to an ATO, and was also released.

    • Garteig has seen some struggles since going back to the ECHL – he was 1-3-0 in his time back there.
I will no longer being doing a schedule during these updates because Jeremy does a weekly one on Monday of every week. His look much better, so no point in duplicating! It can be found here, for this week.
    Have a good weekend!
