  • As everyone is aware by now, Hunter Shinkaruk was traded to the Calgary Flames. In 114 games with the Utica Comets, he finishes  with 37 goals and 33 assists. He was also one goal away from matching the single season record for the Comets.
  • With that – it’s probable that the Canucks won’t make another trade in time for this weekend’s games  to give the Comets some reinforcement. Hopefully Higgins can continue his rebuilding process and help out.
  • Blair Jones remains injured this week, but is back skating.
  • John Kurtz was released from his PTO.
  • Alex Friesen was re-assigned to the Comets this past week
  • Linden Vey, Yannick Weber and Alex Biega are still up with the Canucks. (I don’t expect any of them to be back)
  • Mystery man Jeremy Davis with his ‘Utica Week in Review’
  • ECHL
