Weeks are flying by as we inch closer to the trade deadline and the playoff push that follows. The KHL season is nearing its end, while the NCAA is only a few short weeks away from starting regional playoffs.
Let’s take a look at all the Canucks prospects in this week’s edition of Blackfish: Canucks Army Prospect Report.

  • Dmitry Zhukenov played three games this week and had points in every game. He finished the week with 2 goals and 2 assists. He also had 4 PIM and 4 SOG.
  • Carl Neill played two games this week and picked up an assist in both games. He also had 5 SOG and ws -1. Hopefully he can keep it up, as Carl Neill needs him to get back to his early season form.
  • Tate Olson had a slow week – being held pointless in 2 games this past week. He finished -3.
  • Kyle Pettit is currently out with an upper-body injury and listed as week to week.
  • Guillaume Brisebois also had a slow week – finishing the week -3 with 4 SOG in 2 games.
  • Mackenze Stewart played three games this week – he had 9 PIM.

  • Still a fantastic sign that the Comets are being led offensively by Shinkaruk, Subban and Gaunce – all three had very good games last night for Utica
  • Blair Jones returned from injury this week, and then go injured again
  • Brandon Prust made his debut for the Comets last night.

    Kyle Pettit has been re-added to the schedule, as he may return to the lineup sometime this week. It’s unlikely but still possible. Jasek (unsure of what team on any given day) and Rodin (injury) are not included.
