Betway Bets of the Day: Vancouver Canucks face expansion cousin Sabres

Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Losses in back to back nights to the Leafs and Bruins have the Canucks currently sitting 15th in western conference standings. The team’s nightmare road trip has hit its final destination Tuesday in Buffalo. Here are three bets I feel strongly about against the Sabres.
Player Prop
Rasmus Dahlin to register over 2.5 shots at -167. My $10 bet would return $16.00.
Dahlin has been on a “heater”. He’s hit his over 2.5 shots in 8 straight games and in that span averages 4.5 shots per game. This is as close to a lock as you’ll find.
Special Teams
The Vancouver Canucks to score a power play goal at -143. My $10 bet would return $17.00.
Vancouver scored their only two goals of the game with the extra man in Boston on Sunday. Vancouver’s PP ranks 5th in the NHL, Buffalo struggles on the PK ranking 27th. Statistically this is another strong bet.
Over/Under
The game to finish with over 6.5 goals at -140. My $10 bet would return $17.14.
Vancouver and Buffalo are two teams that have accomplished similar results this season. They don’t have an issue scoring as they’re both among the top half of the league in goals and PP% but both teams struggle defending. Buffalo ranks 23rd in goals against and Vancouver ranks 30th.
I like this trend to continue and for the over to hit.
Last Game Bets
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -175. My $10 bet would return $15.71. – MISSED
Cole Caufield to register over 3.5 shots at -118. My $10 bet would return $18.50. – MISSED
Elias Pettersson to register a power play point at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.00. – MISSED
Tough night for us last week against Montreal, as we staked $30 and lost it all. We’re down $35.48 on the year. Tonight we change our luck.
