Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on Nils Hoglander to continue impressing in Canucks vs. Canes

Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Canucks had their worst start of the season on Thursday night, giving up multiple grade-A chances en route to being outshot 9-0 earlier in the first. Thankfully, Casey DeSmith was equal to all tasks. Nils Höglander scored the icebreaker for the Canucks and the team never looked back, taking home a 2-0 victory.
Next up for the Canucks is a matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Aho has been on a shooting tear recently, he has hit his over 2.5 in five out of his last six games and has registered 26 shots in that span, an average of 4.33 per game. I like this play a lot and will put a full unit on it.
Pre-Built Bets
Carolina to score a power-play goal at -143. My $10 bet would return $17.
Vancouver’s Achilles heel remains their penalty-kill, as they’ve catapulted down to 27th in the NHL. Carolina has a run-of-the-mill power-play, but it’s hard to bet against the Canucks’ inability to kill a penalty right now. Put .8 units on this play.
Player Props
Nils Höglander to score anytime at +300. My $6.25 bet would return $25.
Höglander has been on a heater recently, scoring six goals in his last eleven games and is earning his promotion on Vancouver’s top line with JT Miller and Brock Boeser. I like this play at .5 units for a nice juicy payout,
Last Game Bets
Vancouver Canucks to score a power-play at -134. My $12.50 bet would return $22.01. – MISS
Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50. – MISS
Vancouver to win money-line at -130. My $12.50 bet would return $22.11 – HIT
A goal post away on the power-play from another profitable day, we staked $35 and returned $22.11 we are now up $130.72 on the year.
