Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
On a second night of a back-to-back, the Canucks gave a great Rangers team all they could handle on Saturday. Vancouver dominated the majority of the game at even strength, but an explosive Rangers power play cashed in three times in regulation to force overtime.
In the extra frame, Vancouver was once again all over the ice and it looked like Andrei Kuzmenko had the game iced for the Canucks, but Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin made two grade-A saves on the sophmore. A blatant missed trip on an attacking Elias Pettersson gave the Rangers a three on one in overtime and K’Andre Miller made no mistake, snapping the Canucks’ three game winning streak, much to the chagrin of the Canucks faithful at Rogers Arena.
Next up for the Canucks is a matchup with the Nashville Predators. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Player Prop

Hughes has hit his over 2.5 in six straight games and has tallied 22 shots, which is an average of 3.66 per games. I like this bet at .8 units for us again. Every time we’ve taken Hughes this year, it’s worked out.

Player Prop

Fillip Forsberg to register over 3.5 shots at -139. My $10 bet would return $17.20.
Forsberg has hit his over 3.5 in four of his last five games, including a four shot effort against the Canucks on Thursday night. Forsberg currently ranks 12th league-wide in shots. We will risk .8 units on this play.

Player Prop

Elias Pettersson to score a power play point at +100. My $10 bet would return $20.
Going with all three bets as player props has been good to us recently. Pettersson has six power play points in eight games this season. I like him a lot against the 30th-ranked Predators penalty kill. We will risk .8 units on this play as well.

Last Game Bets

Seth Jarvis to register over 2.5 shots at -105. My $10 bet would return $19.52.  – MISSED
Bryan Rust to register over 2.5 shots at -154. My $12.50 bet would return $20.75. – HIT
Artemi Panarin to score a power-play point at +105. My $10 bet would return $20.50. – HIT
Another day of profit, we staked $32.50 and returned $41.25. We are now up $115.34 (9.2 units) on the year.
