Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day, brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
For the first time since games three and four of the season, the Canucks have lost back-to-back games, as they fell 4-3 to the Kraken on Saturday night. Seattle did an excellent job at blocking shots and were opportunistic on Vancouver turnovers. The Canucks scored with nine seconds left to make it a one goal game and a set faceoff play from JT Miller to Nils Höglander almost saw the team pull 0ff the unthinkable, but they ultimately fell short.
Next up for the Canucks is a matchup with the Sharks who they defeated 10-1 on November 2nd, here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Vancouver went a staggering 4-5 on the power-play in their last meeting with the Sharks and Elias Pettersson scored a power-play point a mere two minutes into the game. Vancouver’s power-play has been rolling and I like that trend to continue. This will be a full unit play.
Player Prop
Andrei Kuzmenko to score anytime at +187. My $10 bet would return $28.70.
Kuzmenko is starting to approach “Sharks killer” territory, as he has scored four goals and nine points in just five career games against the club. We took this bet in Vancouver’s last matchup with the Sharks and it cashed for us, we will ride with it again at .8 units.
Pre-Built Bets
Canucks to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to register two points at +150. My $8 bet would return $20.
Vancouver is a massive -340 favourite on the money-line, which is absolutely insane for an NHL game. We’re gonna use Pettersson as our “juice reducer” again. Pettersson scored three points in Vancouver’s last matchup with the Sharks and has scored seven points in his last four games against San Jose.
We will take this play at .64 units.
Last Game Bets
Andrei Kuzmenko to score anytime at +220. My $6.75 bet would return $21.60. – MISSED
Seattle to score a power-play goal at -105. My $10 bet would return $19.52. – MISSED
Another poor day from us, I didn’t really love anything thus not a single full unit play, we got really unlucky here too, as Seattle scored a power-play goal a second after a Canucks penalty expired, and that would have brought us close to even on the day.
We staked $26.75 and returned $0. We are now up $86.80 (7 units) on the year.
