Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day, brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Despite a two goal night from Brock Boeser, the Canucks fell to the league-worst Sharks by a final score of 4-3. Vancouver has now lost four of their last six games.
The Canucks will return to Rogers Arena, where seven of their next eight games will take place, starting with a matchup against the Anaheim Ducks who have lost six straight games. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Pre-Built Bets
Vancouver’s power-play still remains in the top five in the league and scored twice against the Sharks on Saturday night. Anaheim is middle of the pack on the penalty kill but takes the third-most penalties in the league. I like this play enough to put a full unit on it.
Player Prop
Andrei Kuzmenko to score anytime at +200. My $8 bet would return $24.
The Canucks sophomore was a healthy scratch in Vancouver’s last two games, look for him to play with vengeance. Kuzmenko has dominated the Ducks thus far in his career scoring five goals in four games against the club, including his first career hat-trick. Put .66 units on this play for a very nice payout.
Pre-Built Bets
Vancouver to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to score a point at -143. My $12.50 bet would return $21.25.
Vancouver is rightfully massively favoured on the money-line, as Anaheim is in free-fall mode, losing six straight games after a solid start to the season. I expect the Canucks to take care of business tonight and add a Pettersson point as our “juice reducer.”
Pettersson scored 11 points in four games against the Ducks last season, including at least two points in each game. Risking a full unit on this play as well.
Last Game Bets
Vancouver to score a power-play goal at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20. – HIT
Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -138. My $10 bet would return $17.27. – MISSED
Brock Boeser to score anytime at +130. My $10 bet would return $23. – HIT
One Pettersson shot away from being back, but we will take the profit, we staked $32.50 and returned $43. We are now up $52.27 on the year.
