Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Vancouver’s 4-3 win over Calgary on Wednesday night was a perfect microcosm of the Canucks’ season so far. They blew a multi-goal lead and also had a comeback victory in the same night.
Up next for Vancouver is the Winnipeg Jets. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Connor has been on a tear recently, he has tallied 16 shots in his last two games including an astonishing 11 shots on Thursday night against the Predators.
Anytime Goalscorer
Elias Pettersson to score a goal at +135. My $10 bet would return $23.50.
Usually on these bets, we make calculated decisions based on recent game data, on this one we’re doing the opposite. Pettersson was quiet in Vancouver’s last two games, I expect that to change tonight, if he plays. Pettersson is a game time decision tonight.
Player Parlays
Quinn Hughes and Josh Morrisey both to register an assist at +120. My $10 bet would return $22.
Morrisey leads all defenders in the NHL in assists with 28, Quinn Hughes is right behind him ranked third league-wide with 25.
Last Game Bets
Bo Horvat to score a goal at +162. My $10 bet would return $26.20 – HIT
Tyler Toffoli to register over 2.5 shots -163. My $10 bet would return $16.15. – MISSED
Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Huberdeau to both register an assist at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25. – MISSED
Although we went one for three, we still made some profit. We staked $25 and returned $26.20. We are now down $26.66 on the year.
