Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Vancouver Canucks extended their win streak to four games after a dominant wire to wire win over the Florida Panthers. Thacher Demko channelled his inner Roberto Luongo on the same night the Hall of Fame goaltender was inducted in the team’s Ring of Honour. Demko made 36 saves to earn his third shutout of the season.
Vancouver will now embark on a four game road trip starting in Minnesota. Here are three bets I like for this afternoon’s game.
Player Prop
Yes, a very, very rare under bet from us. How Kaprizov still has a shot line of four is insane. The Wild star has tallied under three shots in seven of his last eight games.
Take this play at .8 units
Player Prop
Elias Pettersson to score anytime at +187. My $10 bet would return $28.75.
I like these odds a lot for a premier player in Pettersson, nearly two to one against a below average defensive team with the second worst penalty-kill in the NHL. Pettersson has scored five times in 12 career games against the Wild, so I’m taking this play at .8 units.
Main Markets
Vancouver to win money-line at -105. My $12.50 bet would return $24.40
Vancouver has won four straight games is second in the NHL, yet are underdogs against a below average .500 Wild team who have lost three of their last four games, one of which was against the Canucks.
I like this at a full unit.
Last Game Bets
Jack Eichel to score anytime at +120. My $10 bet would return $22. – HIT
Matias Maccelli to register 1 or more assists at -120. My $12.50 bet would return $22.91- MISSED
Kevin Durant to register over 26.5 points at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $22.50. – HIT
Maccelli scored a goal instead of getting an assist, but still as solid day for us, we staked $32.50 and returned $44.50. We are now up $114.03 on the year.
