Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
A full 60-minute effort in Nashville ensured the Canucks a winning record on a five-game road trip to start the season, as Vancouver defeated the Predators 3-2 on Wednesday night.
The Canucks will now embark on a three-game homestand starting against the St. Louis Blues, here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Hughes followed up an excellent 2022/2023 campaign with an even better start to the 2023/2024 season. An element that Hughes has added to his game is his ability to generate shots, last season Hughes averaged only 1.9 shots per game and so far this season is averaging 3.5.
I like this trend to continue tonight against a Blues team that gives up the third-highest shots in the league to defensemen. We will risk .8 units with this play.
Pre-Built Bets
Vancouver to score a power-play goal at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20.
A rare double down, yes the Canucks didn’t score with the extra-man last game but they were only given just over a minute of power-play time. Vancouver still ranks third in the league on the PP and if given a few opportunities tonight, I like them to pot one.
Pre-Built Bets
Vancouver to win on the money line and Elias Pettersson to score a point at -110. My $12.50 bet would return $23.86.
The Blues played last night and the Canucks have had two nights off, I also think Vancouver is just simply the better team. Add a Pettersson point and Canucks money line moves from -190 to -110, I like this so much that we will risk a full unit on it.
Last Game Bets
Nikita Kucherov to register a power-play point at -120. My $12.50 bet would return $22.91. – HIT
Nathan Mackinnon to register over 4.5 shots at -167. My $10 bet would return $16 – HIT
Seth Jarvis to register over 2.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return 19.09. – HIT
A solid three-for-three night from us is a great way to enter the weekend. We staked $32.50 and returned $58 we are now up $65.89 (5.2 units) on the year.
