Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Despite a much improved effort from the Canucks on Thursday, night Vancouver still didn’t do enough to get the win. Nikita Kucherov struck twice as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated Vancouver 4-3.
Vancouver will get reinforcements as Ilya Mikheyev is set to return to the lineup as the Canucks battle the Florida Panthers. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Pettersson cashed us out again in Tampa Bay. I have been saying it for the past year when it comes to this bet: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Player Prop
Carter Verhaeghee to register over 2.5 shots at -175. My $12.50 bet would return $19.64.
Verhaeghe has had a bit of a quiet start to the season, but had four shots Thursday against the Leafs. Vancouver has given up the 3rd most shots in the NHL this season, where as Florida is always near the top of the league in shots. Sprinkle on a lot of Florida shot props tonight.
Player Prop
Evan Rodrigues to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83.
Rodrigues continues to be one of the game’s most underrated players. He has registered over 2.5 shots in all four of Florida’s games this season. In that span, he’s tallied 17 shots, which is an average of 4.25 per game.
Last Game Bets
Timo Meier to register over 2.5 shots at -175. My $12.50 bet would return $19.64 – HIT
Noah Dobson to register over 2.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09. – HIT
Patrik Laine to score anytime at +162. My $6.75 bet would return $17.68. – HIT
Laine hit the post twice, that close to a perfect day. We staked $29.25 and returned $38.73, we are now up $29.16(2.3 units)on the year.
