Hughes has started to find his stride again after an upper-body injury kept him out of the lineup. Hughes has been absolutely dominating the shot clock, hitting his over 4.5 in five straight games, and has tallied 37 shots in that span which is an average of 7.4 per game.

I like this trend to continue and will deploy .8 units on this play.

My plan here was to take the Devils’ power-play to score a goal, but the odds are absolutely juiced at -225, which I can’t touch. Instead, we will go against the grain and take a guy who’s been struggling to produce on power-play in Pettersson, he looked really solid at even strength in Calgary and Vancouver’s first unit is way too skilled to stay off the score sheet for this long.
