Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Canucks completed their best road effort of the season on Tuesday night with a wire-to-wire 5-2 victory over the Nashville Predators. Elias Pettersson found instant chemistry with new linemate Pius Suter as the duo both tallied a goal and an assist in a winning effort for Vancouver.
Next up for the Canucks is the final stop of a four game road trip in Dallas. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
A good example of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Pettersson has breezed past his over 2.5 in his last three games, registering 17 shots in that span, an average of 5.66 per game. We will put .8 units on this play.
Player Prop
Pius Suter to score anytime at +300. My $6.25 bet would return $25.
Suter has been productive since being promoted to Vancouver’s top line with Elias Pettersson and Ilya Mikheyev, scoring three points in two games. Suter also showed a scoring touch prior to his injury that sidelined him for over a month, scoring three goals in five games, including a goal in Vancouver’s only matchup with the Dallas Stars.
We will sprinkle .5 units here for a very nice payout.
Main Markets
Dallas to win money-line at -135. My $1o bet would return $17.40.
This is the first time we’re fading the Canucks this season. This has scheduled loss written all over it. Yes Vancouver is red hot, but so is Dallas, who have gone 3-0-1 in their last four games. The Canucks have travelled a lot this trip and are set to play four games in six nights.
At close to even odds, I have to favour the Stars here despite Oettinger not starting and Vancouver’s historic dominance over Dallas. I like this play at .8 units
Last Game Bets
Alex Ovechkin to score anytime at +140. My $10 bet would return $24. – MISSED
Lebron James to register over 7.5 assist at -160. My $12.50 bet would return $20.31. – HIT
Jamal Murray to register over 19.5 points per game at -120. My $10 bet would return $18.33. – HIT
Another night of profit, we staked $32.50 and returned $38.33. We are now up $144.62(11.59 units) on the year,
