Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day, brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
A solid effort in Denver on Wednesday night went awry for Vancouver as they lost 5-2 to the Colorado Avalanche. Despite the score, the Canucks played a strong game in a tough building. The Avs were simply more opportunistic and showed their championship pedigree.
Next up for the Canucks is another edition of the I5valry that John Shorthouse has famously coined. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
The former Canuck has been on a shooting tear as of late, tallying over 2.5 shots in four of his last five games, I like this trend to continue against a Canucks team that’s bottom ten in shots against.
Player Prop
Fillip Hronek to register a power-play point at +300. My $6.75 bet would return $27.
We got very close on this last time and we’re going to trust this read again. Kuzmenko looks like the odd man out in tonight’s lineup and Hronek has been getting reps on PP1 in the morning skate.
The rest of the Canucks on PP1 are hovering around +125 to get a point. We’re getting insanely good value here, so we’re gonna hammer half a unit on this play.
Money-Line
Canucks to win money-line at -115. My $10 bet would return $18.69.
Vancouver has lost three out of their last four games, including a game to the Kraken, but getting the 13-6-1 Canucks at essentially pick ’em odds against the 8-8-5 Kraken with their backup between the pipes is too good to pass up on.
We’re going to keep the unit management a bit conservative until we get out of this cold streak.
Last Game Bets
David Montgomery to register over 68.5 rushing yards at -115. My $10 bet would return $18.69. -HIT
Tyler Lockett to register over 4.5 receptions at -141. My $10 bet would return $17.10 – MISSED
Rahim Mostert to register over 59.5 rushing yards at -110. My $12.50 bet would return $24.08.- In progress
An okay first ever NFL day, I really liked Lockett in that spot against the 49ers with that game script but Geno helped the ball way too much. We staked $20 and returned $18.69, we are now up $42.70 on the year.
