The camp invites include forwards Nando Eggenberger, Reid Gardiner, Owen Hardy, Tanner MacMaster, Isaac Nurse and Anthony Salinitri. On the backend, they have invited Jakob Brahaney, Kaleb Bulych, Jagger Dirk and Garrett McFadden. They’ve also invited goaltender Ivan Kulbakov, who is signed to an AHL deal.
With the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames not in attendance, the Canucks will face the Winnipeg Jets prospects twice over the weekend:
YOUNG STARS CLASSIC GAME SCHEDULE

GameTeamsDateTime
Game 1UBC vs University of AlbertaSept. 74:00 PM
Game 2Vancouver vs. WinnipegSept. 77:30 PM
Game 3UBC vs University of AlbertaSept. 86:00 PM
Game 4Vancouver vs. WinnipegSept. 92:00 PM
The Young Stars is a fantastic weekend for fans as they get a chance to see quite a few of the up and comers in one spot. The Canucks are missing quite a few players due to their heavy prospect presence in the NCAA and overseas.
It’s unfortunate that this years version is only two games but that is remedied by the talent that the Canucks are bringing.
