Notes

• The Comets don’t play until Saturday this week, which is notable because it only further extends their ridiculously long period of very little hockey. By the time they face off against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, they’ll have played just once in 13 days, and just three times in 19 days. That’s a ton of down time, especially for a team that really seems to be ramping up.
• Jonah Gadjovich, who last week I hoped would be back for a pair of weekend games, is apparently still injured. He has a lagging wrist injury and is out “indefinitely”, according to Mark Scheig. That sounds a bit ominous, but he did add that it wasn’t believed to be serious. Hopefully it won’t keep him out of the Canada Russia Series in early November, for which he has been named to the OHL squad.

• Speaking of the Canada Russia Series, Kole Lind and Michael DiPietro were also named to the squads of their respective leagues. I’ll be sure to include those games on the schedule when the relevant weeks come around.
• I know a lot of you don’t want to consider Nikita Tryamkin a prospect anymore, what with the heartbreaking betrayal and all. But I’m still tracking him, so if anyone was wondering why he missed his most recent game, it’s because he received a one-game suspension for abuse of an official. Much like many of you want him suspended for prospect updates for abusing our trust and hopes and dreams.
