Notes:

• This is Tuesday of course, so I am a day behind, but the only thing that went down yesterday in Canuckland was an early Comets start in Rochester on Martin Luther King Day. The Comets pulled out a shootout victory.
• There are already games occurring today. Elias Pettersson‘s Vaxjo Lakers smoked Lukas Jasek‘s Liberec White Tigers in Champion’s Hockey League semi-final action. Pettersson had a pair of impressive goal. Sure seems like he had a fire lit under him. Maybe he’d been reading The Athletic before the game.
• The Canucks have a bye week this week of course, so it’s a great time to catch up on some prospect games if you have the means. The Comets, meanwhile, are in one of their busiest stretches of the season, with four games this week after playing Friday and Saturday – they’re playing six games in a nine day span.
• You can watch Hobey Baker-nominated Adam Gaudette on TSN GO on Friday at 4:00 p.m. as his Northeastern Huskies take on UMass.
• I’ve updated the teams of a couple of prospects. First, Brett McKenzie‘s image and schedule now reflects his trade to the Owen Sound Attack. Additionally Rodrigo Abols is now with BIK Karlskoga of the Allsvenskan, on loan from Orebro. This is probably a better for for him. He has two points in his first four Allsvenskan games, after tallying just one point in extremely limited minutes in 26 SHL games.
