What’s Your Hockey Adventure of a Lifetime?

Things that aren’t fun: the 2013-14 Vancouver Canucks season, watching the Minnesota Wild play hockey (only in the regular season, though, apparently), broccoli and canker sores.

Things that are fun: basically everything to do with the impending summer — sunshine, patios, cold beer, beaches. And all of the potentially cool things you could win if you’ve taken my advice and signed up for a ScotiaHockey NHL Debit or VISA card. It has now been over a month since I introduced Canucks Army’s newfound partnership with the fine people over at Scotiabank, so I’m just going to go ahead and assume that by now you’ve been able to get a hold of yourself, stop weeping, and put on a pair of pants for long enough to sign up for a snazzy new card.

I’m sure that seeing that Canucks logo on the front of it will bring back bad memories, and even lead to some inexplicable bouts of sobbing in the checkout line at your local grocery store. But maybe, just maybe, some of these prizes you could be in for will help make up for all of that.

It’s pretty simple, actually. Well, not as simple as realizing that the Canucks should’ve used the pick they received in return for Cory Schneider to select Valeri Nichushkin… but pretty simple nonetheless.

In case you were wondering what my Hockey Adventure of a Lifetime would look like, it would probably involve myself getting to hang out with two great hockey minds like Mike Gillis and Alain Vigneault. Actually, no wait. It would probably be getting to ask John Tortorella how he managed to get as much out of the 2013-14 version of the Canucks as he did? No, that can’t be it.
