What To Watch For
> Hello Brendan: Great, yeah, there he is. He’s doing well for the Flames (4-11-15), so shut up about him not being a Canuck. He’s averaging over 14 and a half minutes for the Flames, two minutes less than Malhotra. Can we move on now?
> Who’s got the Mo (no not him)?: After their four game skid, Vancouver has strung two convincing wins in a row. Calgary has two wins in their last three, including one over the Eastern conference champs and a shutout win over Minnesota last night. You think those goalies could factor in? Despite the temptation, you can’t count Calgary out with Kiprusoff who – in the last three seasons against Vancouver – is 7-12. Against Calgary Luongo is 12-6. And speaking of Kipper…
> I submit for your approval: Consider Vancouver is the best faceoff team and Calgary is 25th. Consider almost no one lives more in the offensive zone than the Sedins (literally no one in the case of Hordichuk). Lastly, consider Kipper has been pulled in three of his last four games against the Canucks. Why fix what ain’t broke? Looking forward to seeing you out there later tonight Henrik Karlsson.
