Vancouver Canucks call up Jack Rathbone under emergency conditions
The Vancouver Canucks have called up prospect defenceman Jack Rathbone under emergency conditions, the club announced Tuesday afternoon.
The call up comes just hours after Quinn Hughes was absent from Canucks practice. Hughes may join the Canucks in Vegas, but the team also just lost Tucker Poolman once again for what is believed to be the remainder of the season.
Rathbone recently ranked at the top of our post-Trade Deadline rankings of the Canucks’ top 10 prospects.
Rathbone made the Canucks out of camp but was sent down to Abbotsford to play big minutes and develop the defensive side of his game further.
This season with the Abbotsford Canucks, the smooth-skating Rathbone has eight goals and 25 assists through 30 games.
