We all love the Young Stars tournament and are very happy that is is back again this summer.
Penticton is the home of the tournament for the 10th edition of the Young Stars Classic as the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Winnipeg Jets will all send some of their best young players to Penticton to participate in a battle of the prospects.
On Tuesday morning, the Canucks announced the schedule for the tournament and the ticket prices.
Let’s get into it.
There will be two games on Friday, September 15th. Winnipeg and Edmonton will kick off the tournament at 4:00 pm and that game will be followed by Calgary and Vancouver facing off at 7:30.
Saturday is a day off for the Canucks as there will be a BCHL exhibition game between the Penticton Vees and Chilliwack Chiefs at 2:00 pm. That game will be followed by an evening affair that features a battle of Alberta at 7:30.
The Canucks are back in action on Sunday, playing against the Jets at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
Monday will wrap up the tournament with the Jets playing the Flames at 11:00 am and the Canucks facing the Oilers at 2:30.
Ticket packages have been showcased by the Canucks on their website. This is what they look like.

Top Canucks players we expect to see in the tournament include Danila Klimovich, Aatu Räty, Josh Bloom, Cole McWard, Arturs Silovs, Jett Woo, Arshdeep Bains and whichever CHL and AHL-bound prospects they select in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
NCAA players and European pro hockey prospects will not be in attendance for the Young Stars Classic as they are too close or have already begun their 2023-24 seasons. This is unfortunate for Canucks fans as we won’t likely see Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Jacob Truscott, Elias Pettersson (D-Petey), Aku Koskenvuo, Lucas Forsell, or Joni Jurmo present at the tournament.
We will be in attendance for the Young Stars Classic and hope to see some of you out there in beautiful Penticton.
