First Jack Skille, now Troy Stecher. Earlier in the first period vs. the Jets, Stecher fell into the boards on what looked to be a harmless play. Brandon Tanev was the opposing Jets player with whom Stecher was tangled up with. He returned after missing a shift, but then left once again.
If I had to guess, I would think it’s the rib area. Either that or his shoulder. The main collision into the boards did seem to impact his shoulder the hardest, however the way he glided off the ice leads me to believe it’s his ribs. He was in obvious discomfort and he wasn’t putting weight onto his left side.
The Canucks announced that Stecher will not return as he suffered an upper-body injury. Jack Skille has been sent back to Vancouver and is likely done for the season. If Stecher’s injury is anything worse than day-to-day, I’d assume his season is over as well.
