What To Watch For
> More Swedes Means More Powa’: Welcome back to the bigs Jonas Andersson. A few things have changed since 2002: there’s this salary cap thingy, no clutching and grabbing please, two line passes are totally out and the Canucks uniforms have been changed once twice thrice I forget how many times. Never mind all that, just play responsibly with your fourth line minutes, pitch in on special teams when needed and if the chance presents itself, destroy Corey Perry.
> Shutting the door (figuratively speaking of course): Prior to last night’s win over the Oil, the Ducks had been shutout twice in a row, a suffocating goalless streak of 146 minutes. It took 10 rounds of a shootout to get those points from Edmonton, so not only will the Ducks be tired but they aren’t burying chances like they should. Of course the same can be said for the Blues before they beat Vancouver on Sunday, so for the zillionth time, Vancouver can’t play down to their tired opponent at home. Take the game away quickly and force them to chase you, not the other way around. Oh, and destroy Corey Perry.
> If Corey Perry is unavailable for destruction this evening…: Ryan Getzlaf will suffice. It was Getzlaf who sparked the Ducks to victory when these teams met in October with his first points of the season. He’s the only opponent this season to score four points in a single game against Vancouver. So, yeah, he’ll do.
