Now former Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller has signed a two-year deal with the Anaheim Ducks.
This isn’t surprising in the slightest given his desire to be closer to his wife Noreen DeWulf in L.A.
The Canucks had offered Miller a one-year incentive laden deal, but the option to go to Southern California and a two-year deal was obviously too much to pass up. When the Canucks signed Anders Nilsson earlier this morning, it officially closed the book on Miller returning.
Miller will be the backup to John Gibson in Anaheim, as they hope to continue their push for a Stanley Cup title.
The Ducks will be in Vancouver for the first time on January 2, 2018.
