O’Brien Traded for Ryan Parent

According to Bob McKenzie tweet, the Canucks may have traded the recent waived Shane O’Brien for Nashville prospect Ryan Parent.
O’Brian and Dan Gendur for Parent and another player not off the NHL roster.
Parent’s current deal is a two-year contract worth $925k year. Assuming he makes the team, Parent will save the Canucks about 675k in cap space relative to O’Brien.
As for Gendur, he’s a trivial throw-in. A former 7th round pick, Gendur is 23 and has played in the ECHL for most of his pro career. He’ll never be an NHLer. It’s a good bet the Canucks are receiving a similar quality player from the Predators to comeplete the deal.
*EDIT – Jonas Andersson is the other player heading to Vancouver. A former 2nd round pick, Andersson is actually a 29 year old veteran who has mostly played in Europe, but skipped the pond to try to make the Predators this year. He’s certainly better than Gendur, but is in tough to make the Canucks parent squad anyways.
