RIP Iron Lady. Long live Iron Man. (Via Sealcat.)
Today at Canucks Army we thought it was time to retire Bure’s number (something I’m still personally unconvinced about because I’m the world’s grumpiest young man), previewed tonight’s Canucks home-game against the Phoenix Coyotes and looked at what we can expect from Vancouver’s forward deployments headed into the postseason.
Read past the jump for some news and stuff.
There’s shockingly little Canucks content out there on the internet today. I’d even go so far as to describe it as a "slow news day" were it not for the fact that I think I hear Ryan Kesler’s music! [The Province]
Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman visited with the Canucks today, and was given his own personalized team sweater:
Seahawks headcoach Pete Carroll’s response to that photo owned:
So not only does Pete Carroll run his own Twitter account and rock at it, but he’s also demonstrated the ability to move expensive backups on the trade market. Carroll 2, Gillis 0.
Harrison Mooney does what he does best, by which of course I mean nonsense sleuthing (and I mean that as a compliment, trust me), this time separating truth from untruth on the subject of Derek Roy. [Pass it to Bulis]
Apparently Cory Schneider has found his happy place, which I presume means he’s realized that it’s all in the hips. [Province]
Daniel Wagner looks at sixteen Canucks milestones that could fall between now and the postseason. [Pass it to Bulis]
That’s really it today. I’d say a tearful goodbye but Shane O’Brien would probably just ruin the moment (via hassthepuck):
