Tom Benjamin has an idea for cutting down on fighting in the NHL – only allow NHL teams to dress 17 skaters per side. Not sure I agree, but it’s certainly an interesting suggestion.

The Canucks have announced their "third jersey" schedule. Have to say – I much prefer the alternate.

Kesler is so good at photo-bombing, that he unintentionally photo-bombed himself. Eat your Big Lebowski bearded heart out Nick Mangold. Pass it to Bulis does some good work, eh?

Ryan Kesler also skated in warmups today with the rest of the team. Great news, though I still hope they play it cautiously with him. If Kesler plays more than 65 games this season – I’ll be disappointed. Save him for the playoffs!

The Kurtenblog catches up with rioting "waterpoloer poloist poler person that plays water polo," Jason Kotylak who has been suspended from the national team for two years. He also cost himself a scholarship at the University of Calgary. Ouch.

Harrison Mooney over at Puck Daddy asks the question: did AV go too far when he played the Nathan Horton card on Douglas Murray? Days of Y’Orr thinks he did, and also that the Canucks are whiners and stuff.

Last but certainly not least: Cam Charron over at Nucksmisconduct asks: can Edler hit 60 points this season? I think he probably can, but I don’t think it’s likely! Fingers crossed.
