Apparently ESPN has some sort of sports fan hall of fame? Well some locals you may have heard of are in the inaugural class.
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video, birthed a clever .gif into existence, or have a hockey related cause you’d like to see promoted in this space – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Alaska Highway News sports reporter Katie Maximick is asking an intriguing question about Roberto Luongo

Whither Jannik Hansen? Winter-peg!
During the 2004-05 lockout, Canucks employees were cut back to four day weeks (and had their pay cut). My friend Jamie Levchuk was one of those Canucks employees affected, so I regularly had him come in and referee high school rugby. He didn’t really do it for the extra cash, he just did it to keep busy. Will Canucks employees do similar things this time around? (A side note, it was also because of this that Jamie introduced me to the notion of ‘summer Crow’ and ‘Winter Crow’. Seems Marc Crawford’s an awfully friendly guy when he doesn’t have much to do.)
The locked-out Canucks who are in town are already worried about boredom. Apparently they played soccer or beach volleyball or something today. Probably the most riveting sentence I’ve ever written for this site, by the way.
First reported by ex-Canuck pugilist and now Quebec TV pundit Enrico Ciccone, the Leafs are still interested in Bobby Lu. I can’t imagine a team with suspect goaltending not being interested, can you? I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to the Big Smoke, actually.
Did you catch Petbugs’ bit on season-ticket-holder math? How about Thomas Drance’s assessment of Nicklas Jensen’s appearance on a Hockey Prospectus list?
Tomorrow isn’t just the beginning of fall – it’s also Raise-a-Reader Day. The usual ritual sees Canucks players wandering the city, handing out the Vancouver Sun (remember newspapers?). This year, of course, they won’t be. But management and alumni still will be. Even if the owners are being grumps, be nice to these guys for the 3 seconds it will take to donate, m’kay?
