Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video, birthed a clever .gif into existence, or have a hockey related cause you’d like to see promoted in this space – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Dominik Hasek has retired for the third time, at the age of 47. His camp had reportedly had discussions with the Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes about a potential comeback to the NHL, but after he failed to receive an offer, he decided that enough was enough. What can I say about ‘The Dominator’? He was must-see tv every time he stepped on the ice, and was a remarkable goaltender.
Since the last lockout – I literally cringed as I had to fit the "last" in for the very first time – save percentages have skyrocketed all across the league. What is the cause of this? Better defense? Worse offense? Or simply put, better goaltenders? Eric T investegates on NHL Numbers.
Michael Buble wearing a ridiculously ugly poncho image break! It may be ugly, but it’s a brilliant idea that will result in many good things. Our friends over at Pass it to Bulis got Buble to sign it, and will continue to persuade other ‘people of note’ to don the poncho, and sign it. Then, they will auction it off with the proceeds going to the Canucks for Kids fund. Kudos, pals.

Did you miss the coverage of Blogs With Balls 5 from this past week? If so, here’s the full video of the hockey panel, dubbed the ‘State of the Hockey Media’. I thoroughly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already.
Cam Charron debuts a series named ‘Finding Milan‘, and in the first installment, he revisits Milan Lucic’s history. All of this got me thinking – is Cam Charron THE NEXT MILAN LUCIC? Given what we know about him, probably not. But why should that stop us from pursuing this notion further?
Kevin Bieksa dropped by the Morning News, to discuss Bieksa’s Buddies charity game. I’ll be heading out for the game, and I know of many other stellar individuals that will be as well. Are you?
In case you were in a food coma this weekend, and missed it, I counted down the Top 10 transactions of the Mike Gillis era. I started with numbers 10 through 6 on Friday, and wrapped it up with numbers 5 through 1 yesterday. Do you agree with the list, or would you have things differently?
