The Stanchion continues the Smylosphere tradition of photoshopping hockey jump kicks into Street Fighter.
Headshots are a Canucksarmy feature where we link to the days freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, made a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Cam Charron’s "noon number" today at Nucksmisconduct was particularly good. Choice nugget "". There is nothing to read into the fact that Toews has a single goal through 15 playoff games and 8 against Vancouver." Nope nothing at all, Toews is still Mr. Clutch, and waay better than Stamkos for sure.
Loved this Harrison Mooney post that both debunks and pumps up my pet peeve statistic plus/minus. The sarcastic telestrator concept is a really amusing one, and Harrison executes it well.
John Cullen heaps praise on the BCHL and urges you to pay attention to the 50 year old hockey league that has produced noted NHL stars Jamie Benn and… Well that’s it at the moment. Kyle Turris played in the BCHL too, but he’s not a superstar, no matter how ridiculous his contract demands are.
Video Break, what a masterful #replactheKB entry from Clay Imoo who is joined by Maria Hui (anthem singer for the Whitecaps) to sing an inspirational song about the Canucks. I love this, maybe too much:

Katie Maximick has done up some amusing singles profiles for several Canucks and a few rival players as well. Bonus point for finding a photo in which Kevin Bieksa looks somewhat refined. That must have taken forever
Midway Madness declares that the Canucks – Blackhawks rivalry is a bigger deal at the moment than the Hawks original six rivalry with the Detroit Red Wings.
Chris Richards breaks down How I Met Your Mothers continued obsession with the Canucks. The shows love for Vancouver’s hockey team has reached legend – wait for it – dary status.
