Sorry about the lack of head-shots posts this week, I’ve been extraordinarily sick. My personal health aside, let’s get to it.

The North Shore News asks "What drives the Canucks" and comes up with this answer: Audis do. Why? Well because " that particular company’s blend of European stickhandling, on-ice performance and occasional lapses in reliability is a perfect fit." Good to know!

Good stuff from Daniel Wagner over at Pass it to Bulis on how Cody Hodgson is helping the Canucks power-play, without contributing much on the power-play itself. 

More love for the son of Hod from Cam Charron over at Nucksmisconduct. Think Hodgson is good for twenty or more goals this season? Go vote.

Really interesting post from "Turtle604" on how Luongo stacks up against other highly compensated NHL goalies. Looking at his graphs and information, it’s even harder to understand why exactly Luongo generates so much hate from Canucks fans.

Ed Lau continues his series re-hashing retro trades between the Canucks and their unofficial farm team the Florida Panthers. Yesterday he discussed the infamous Bure trade.

Replace the KB contestant Josh Statham has some suggestions for Alain Vigneault. Namely, Statham thinks AV should split up Booth and Kesler, and also that he should go with designated five-man units, similar to what Scotty Bowman did with the 1997 Detroit Red Wings. It’s a worthwhile read, though I would point out that Vigneault did largely employ a regular five-man unit (Edler, Ehrhoff, Sedin-Sedin-Burrows) through large portions of last year’s regular season.
