Radioactive ginger sports-stars are decimating the downtown core.

It’s unclear whether or not the Canucks have a full blown goaltending controversy on their hands, but they definitely have a full blown controversy brewing about whether or not this is a goaltending controversy. One might say they have a goaltending controversy, controversy. Omar Rawji pulls out his dictionary and argues that yes, in fact, the team does have a goalie controversy. Harrison Mooney on the other hand pulls out his absurdist thesaurus and says that, in fact, the team has a non-troversy. Meanwhile Rob the Hockey Guy points out who the real winner in all of this is: the media.

Alex Burrows is going to tough it out tonight, so Mason Raymond will have to wait a little bit longer before making his season debut. Aaron Rome will also sit tonight. Alain Vigneault continues to roll with the exact same lineup that has carried the Canucks on their current four game winning streak, though it’s worth noting that the Canucks have been the better team in only two of those four games.

Finally, the Canucks announced that they will host their annual super-skill competition on January 22nd. You can buy tickets starting this Saturday, if you have kids or for some other reason (maybe you hit your head recently) want to go.
