Lookout! Here comes a Schneiderman.
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Here’s Iain Macintyre reporting from Phoenix on the Canucks need to "live in the moment." Some other game day notes: Ballard is in, Rome is out (hand injury) and Bieksa (hip) may not dress either, but is a game time decision. Cory Schneider gets the start, and I have a strange hunch that he’ll get the start again tomorrow night against the Sharks.
Wicked stuff from Daniel Wagner on how the Canucks have succeeded (thus far) in replacing Christian Ehrhoff. The key to their success: Dan Hamhuis…. Whaaaa?
Also at Pass it to Bulis I wrote about the "Raymond as perimeter player myth" and why it’s a raw dish of poppycock.
Ben Kuzma warns the Canucks not to look past a plucky Phoenix team that plays a tight systems game, and always seems to get more out of their patch-work core than reason would dictate is possible.

Also via Kuzma, a profile on Alain Vigneault and how he and the team learned to win together. Or at least learned to get to the absolute cusp of winning, before falling apart.
Finally, Omar Rawji has a good take on the Canucks ever present "goaltending controversy" which is sure to be discussed to death again this weekend. He talks about how the prospect of Luongo starting tomorrow in San Jose – as opposed to tonight in Phoenix – is actually a subtle vote of confidence for the oft-criticized veteran.
