PiTB has posted all of the "Salo is your Palo" submissions. This one is my favorite.
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Derek Zona takes a look at early season results and compares them to the underlying numbers to determine which teams we can expect to regress significantly over the balance of this regular season. Good news for the Canucks and the Coyotes, terrible news for the Wild!
Chris Richards of the Vancouver Province dug up a ridiculously cute hockey card. It’s Ryan Kesler’s Pee Wee hockey card from 1998, when he was 13 or 14. I’m consistently amused by how little an individual’s fundamental appearance changes over the years.
The Senators are "irked" about the Maxim Lapierre hit that sent Jesse Winchester through the gate and into the Canucks bench. Embrace the Irked?
Video-break: Here’s the hit in question, think there was any ill-intent on the part of Alex Burrows?
Here’s Cam Charron’s count of last night’s scoring chances via Nucksmisconduct. The Canucks really had no business taking those two points.
With everyone abuzz about Crosby’s return to action tonight, I figured I’d refer you to this take from Driving Play (one of my favorite hockey blogs) that takes a look at why Crosby’s possession stats are only "good."
Finally it looks like Mason Raymond will return to the Canucks lineup this week. I suspect that his return will provide a significant boost to the team, even though his contributions will continue to be under-appreciated by most fans.
