This is a real thing that @strombone1 tweeted to beak Kevin Bieksa and Ryan Kesler.
Kesler subsequently described it as a manwich which, what even?
Today at Canucks Army we previewed tonight’s Canucks home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, poked holes in Gallagher’s head-slapping theory that Jannik Hansen is a substandard playmaker unfit for power-play time, thought the Keith Ballard as a forward experiment was worth a shot, preferred Kaspars Daugavins to Jussi Jokinen on waivers, and kicked off our "Bold Moves" series with a look back at the decision making process behind the Keith Ballard trade.

Jason Botchford thinks it’s absolutely necessary for the Canucks to finally, at long last, trade Roberto Luongo before the trade deadline. I’ve dithered on this topic and still think the draft might be the best place to net value for the star netminder, but Botch’s case is compelling. [The Province]
Mason Raymond had the top play of the week for the Canucks according to the good folks at Nuckmisconduct. He’s been way better this season than last and it’s in part because he’s healthy and in part because he’s finally regressing after two tough seasons by the percentages. Though I’m sure his detractors will pretend that his 4.5% on-ice shooting during the 2011 playoffs was indicative of his feeble style of play being poorly suited to the postseason. Or something. I covered Brendan Gaunce’s Belleville Bulls this past weekend, chatted with the Canucks prospect and his coach, and wrote it all up for the CDC. Check it out! [Canucks.nhl.com]
Good news for the Canucks on the injury front as it appears that Steve Pinizzotto and Dale Weise won’t be out of the lineup for too much longer. [VanHockey]

Being cotton candy Gandalf: Like a BOSS!
Some Columbus lineup notes ahead of tonight’s game from Aaron Portzline (who you absolutely have to follow on Twitter if you don’t already):
Obviously the only Canuck lineup note that really matters is that CORY SCHNEIDER STARTS IN GOAL AGAIN, OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. [The Kurtenblog Prohockey Talk]
While I prefer Kaspars Daugavins to Jussi Jokinen as a potential waiver pick up (mostly for salary cap reasons) the faceoff fetishists at the Canuck Way and Pass it to Bulis are hot for Jokinen. [The Canuck Way/Pass it to Bulis]
Finally someone has to do something to cool down Mason Raymond’s hot hand. Luckily Daniel Sedin is on the case (Via TanevChris):
