Keith Ballard always ends up in silly positions at practice.
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
The Bruins visited the White House to celebrate their cup win, but all anyone wants to talk about is Tim Thomas not attending the photo-op to make a political statement. Thomas will tell the world exactly why he refused to attend with his teammates on his facebook page at 6 pm this evening. Wyshynski argues that Thomas shouldn’t be villified for his political stand, and he’s dead-on, but if Thomas’ reason not to attend isn’t eloquent and convincing, then Thomas will deserve all of the mockery he’s likely to get. Spoiler Alert: Tim Thomas’ reason for boycotting the ceremony will not be eloquent, or convincing.
The Canucks are better than their fen-tied indicates, says Broad Street Hockey. They rank fifth in the league in terms of "score adjusted fenwick."

Hey check it out, I convinced the leader of the "Hodgson is getting enough ice-time, shut up already" train that Cody Hodgson should be put onto the Canucks first unit powerplay. How cool is that?
Our buddy Wyatt Arnt (aka The Stanchion) recaps Canucks Super Skillzzzzzz. (The extra Z’s are for, "I can’t work up any excitement over Super Skills because I’m not 9 years old"). Fun take from Wyatt, though.
Well the "Chris Tanev in the top-4" tryout lasted an entire game! Chris Tanev was sent back down to the Wolves today, as Salo has returned and will play on Tuesday against the New York Islanders East.
