Non All-Star Shawn Thornton urges All-Star captain and Bruins teammate Zdeno Chara not to take a Canuck, and to do what he can to ensure that Kessel is the last pick in the draft. 

Harrison Mooney talks about Chris Tanev’s massive opportunity to earn a permanent spot on the Canucks blue-line over the next few weeks. Let’s hope he seizes his shot, and runs with it for the next decade.

Sports Illustrated released a list of the NHL’s hardest hitters, based on a poll of 191 current NHLers. Zdeno Chara tops the list, which, doesn’t include any Vancouver Canucks. While I’m sure some Canucks fans are upset to see a Bruin win anything, let’s keep this in perspective, at least Garnet Exelby didn’t win again.

Here’s a link to the hot youtube video of the day, in case you’ve spent your morning in Delaware with your fingers in your ears. Basically it’s a mash-up of Jon Stewart poking fun at the hypocrisy of the Boston Bruins. The second half gets disjointed, but the first half is amusing. Not quite as amusing as the folks who can’t figure out that this isn’t an actual Daily Show segment, but funny nonetheless.
