Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail Thom at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Gordon Macintyre writes about the impact of shootout points in the standings, and blames the Canucks shooters for the team’s struggles in the skills-competition.
John Garrett has a solution, based on fostering "internal competition" within the team through a shootout drill. Just reading this post made me hungry for Kraft Products, Pizza Hut and a variety of other delicious food stuffs, which, coincidentally happen to be sold by team sponsors.
Joe Pelletier writes that the Canucks are not as good as they seem and are in desperate need of "size" and "grit."
GIF BREAK: Burrows smells a fart (probably). Via Taylor Pyatt.

Pass it to Bulis breaks down the homerific call from the Avs broadcast team on Kevin Bieksa’s miracle game-tying goal in Saturday’s game. The best part is the colour guy literally saying "oh no" as Bieksa steps into that wrister. Gold!
The NHL fined Chuck Kobasew for his spot of dangerous stick-work on Hamhuis, while the two were racing to touch an iced puck. Jannik Hansen’s similarly cheap play from Thursday night against Detroit, went unnoticed apparently.
Finally, our pal the Stanchion breaks down his assist on Bieksa’s game-tying goal in typically exhaustive detail. Lightning, apparently, does strike twice!
