Last time the Canucks played the Avs, Rome Narrowly Beat Alberts in a Silly Face Competition.
Headshots are a Canucks Army feature where we link to the day’s freshest news, and other assorted Canucks web-goodies. If you’ve written a blogpost, produced a tribute video or birthed a clever .gif into existence – please e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.
Today’s Province Headline: "Oreskovich says he needs to be ‘super physical.’" Tomorrows Province headline: "Oreskovich’s lack of discipline costs Canucks."
Cam Charron takes a look at Jannik Hansen’s underlying numbers. Based on chance differential, I still don’t get why Hansen is getting more plum opportunities (a week of games with the twins for example) over Cody Hodgson.
With realignment in the air, VanCityDan has a look at how the Canucks have performed against the other teams in their "new conference" over the last three years. The results are pretty encouraging.
Video Break: Burrows game sealing beauty from a couple of weeks ago when the Canucks and Avalanche last met. SOB swimming into Varlamov is too funny.
Harrison Mooney breaks down what realignment will mean for the Canucks.
Cory Schneider talks to Ben Kuzma about Jordin Tootoo’s suspension, but is clearly more concerned, still, with the Lucic hit on Ryan Miller and the subsequent non-suspension for the Bruins power-forward. Interesting nugget: Schneider compares Tootoo’s play on Miller (two game suspension) to Booth’s on Kipprusoff (no supplementary discipline).
Finally, the most popular blog in school (CHB) has released another webisode of their TV show, and again mocks CanucksArmy for being a site for nerds. I’m pretty sure I’m going to pretend to be sick and stay home tomorrow, the taunting is too much!
