The Vancouver Canucks are back in action tonight as they get set to visit the Washington Capitals and earn Bruce Boudreau his 600th win behind an NHL bench.
After a disappointing 0-2 start to their season in which they blew two leads and their special teams failed them big time, the Canucks have changed up their lineup ahead of tonight’s game.
As mentioned in scenes from morning skate, defenceman Noah Juulsen is up from Abbotsford to help the team’s injured blueline, but the forward lines were where we saw the most change.
J.T. Miller and Bo Horvat have swapped places, with Miller — who has been on the ice for all eight goals the Canucks have given up this season — slotting in between Vasily Podkolzin and Conor Garland while Horvat gets set to play with Tanner Pearson and Brock Boeser.
We talked about more options for the Canucks — including moving Miller to the wing alongside Elias Pettersson and Andrey Kuzmenko — and had a lot of our viewers jump in with their line combinations during the live chat.
Catch the livestream at 1 PM Pacific Monday through Friday on The Nation Network’s Youtube Channel here and the CanucksArmy Twitter account here!
The show is also available in podcast format around 2 PM every day wherever you get your podcasts!
