Every Minnesota Wild goal against the Canucks this season

This is a simple one, let’s look at all the goals scored by the Minnesota Wild on the Vancouver Canucks this season.

My journalism teachers will hate this article — my friends at DailyHive will be jealous that they didn’t put this article out first.

The Canucks played the Wild three times this season. Winning the first game by a score of 4-1 and losing the next two games by the scores of 4-2 and 4-3 (shootout loss).

We will show you the goals in chronological order. The first two games were in Minnesota and the third game was at Rogers Arena.

Here’s the first goal by the Wild. It was a goal to tie the game up at one where a puck was thrown in on Jacob Markstrom by Luke Kunin and then redirected in by Marcus Foligno.

This was the only Wild goal from their first meeting.

Goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped 23 of 24 shots in this game back in January.

In game two the Wild got the scoring started with a Brad Hunt point shot that found the back of the net just as the Wild’s powerplay expired.

Here’s the second goal of the second game as Jacob Markstrom mishandles the puck and Mikko Koivu sets up Ryan Hartman for an easy tap in.

Kevin Fiala scored the third goal of the second game to make it 3-0 for the Wild as he cut through the Canucks defense with ease and ripped a shot over Markstrom’s glove side.

The fourth goal of the second game came on the powerplay when Zach Parise found a loose puck around the crease and buried it in the open net.

This was the second powerplay goal of the game to go with the first goal that was scored just seconds after the Canucks penalty expired. The Canucks will need to be careful with the Wild powerplay. It was effective against the Canucks in game two — though the Canucks were able to kill all seven of the Wild’s powerplay opportunities in the other two games.

Let’s get to game three now, this took place just under two weeks after the 4-2 loss in which we just saw the goals from. This game would ultimately result in a shootout and we will get to those goals after the three that Minnesota was able to get past Jacob Markstrom in regulation.

Here is the first goal in game three, another goal from Fiala over Markstrom’s glove-side shoulder. I’d bet Marky is well aware of where Fiala wants to shoot the puck in this play-in series.

Luke Kunin then snuck one past Markstrom after a nice pass from Brad Hunt. Hunt had a pretty good run of games against the Canucks this season with one goal and two assists in two games.

The final goal scored by the Wild was another strange one that found the back of the net off the face of Troy Stecher. Alex Galchenyuk was credited with the goal.

This tied the game up at three and required a shootout to determine a winner. The Wild would ultimately score three goals in the shootout out of five attempts and here is a bonus clip of the game winner for Minnesota.
