HOCKEY STARTS TOMORROW! I CAN’T PUT MY ARMS DOWN!
It’s that time of year again. It’s cold, foggy, the beer is better and my Filipino neighbors are queuing up Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. Smell that? It’s hockey season, folks. Like Tag-Team, I’m hear to check it to wreck it, so lets begin. I’m back doing headshots. More after the jump.
Some of you are probably wondering what I’ve been up to since I last posted for Canucks Army. By “some” I mean none of you and by what I’ve been up to, I mean you all know I’ve just been eating packets of mustard. Nevertheless, hockey season is back tomorrow! The Canucks are taking on those truculent bastards from Calgary, so here’s a little bit of Canucks news to get you going.
There’s been a little feature going on over at the Province. It’s the 101 Greatest Canucks of All Time. I would be lying if I said I have read every single one I had read even one. Well, except this one. Wyatt “Blood Beard” Arndt got to interview the man who could have single handedly changed game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Final for the Canucks. Stanch did his best to hold back the tears and the many “Why? Why? WHY?!” screams that have been bottling up for 20 years. [The Province]
Also from the Province, Jason Botchford has a nice little piece on soon to be former current Canucks goalie Ryan Miller. [The Province]
Does anyone want a super optimistic season preview? Then the Pass it to Bulis fella’s have got you covered. The picture was the perfect click-bait. A sad Henrik and a happy Henrik. [Pass it to Bulis]
There are a whack load of player previews for the upcoming season. You can find those on Canucks Army, of course. There are too many to link, or I’m too lazy to link them. Why don’t we meet in the middle and just agree we’re all lazy? [Go Here!]
Wyatt Arndt also contributes to this wonderful site. Here he is using words like “Great” and “Greatest” when describing former Canucks coach John “Call me Murph, as in Murphy bed” Tortorella. [Canucks Army]
Quite possibly one of my favorite bloggers, simply because he’s so positive and he is like Ned Flanders, but not annoying and without all the “iddly-diddly’ talk. The talented Clay Imoo brings us another one of his Canucks themed songs. [Canucks Hockey Blog]
In case you’ve been living under a rock all summer, Rob the hockey guy from Vancity Buzz has got you covered when it comes to the new guys on the team. [Vancity Buzz]
Well, folks. That’s all from me tonight. Hope you enjoyed this edition of headshots. I’ll be back a few times a week, bringing you the days Canucks news and stories about my 2nd and 4th grade teachers. Get some rest, tomorrow is a big one. Cheers.
