Turn that frown upside down, big fella. You’ll be back. Sestito probably can’t do too much more.
Good evening, Ladies and Gents. It’s time for another edition of Headshots. It was a slow news day, but it could be worse. This could be a Buffalo Sabres blog, right? Lets get at it right past the jump!
In case you missed it earlier, David Booth has been recalled from the Utica Comets. Booth had spent the last three games with the Canucks AHL affiliate on a conditioning stint, registering one assist. Also, to make room for Booth, the Canucks sent down Darren Archibald. Archibald dressed in 8 games for the Canucks, he registered two assists in those 8 games and averaged 8:35 of ice time. Just as a footnote for this one, David Booth had one more point in 4 more games at the NHL level than Archibald this year. So, theres that, too. [Metro News]
Cam Charron also talks Booth’s recall, and sticks to his guns on Booth being able to be an effective player for the Canucks. Or at least until his next lower-body injury. [Canucks Army]
If you were too lazy to scroll down, or you just happened to miss it from earlier today, Dimitri talks about the play of the Canucks second line and the bounce-back season of Chris Higgins. I can’t disagree with it, this line has been fantastic. I probably used an expletive or nine when first hearing of this combination, but its one of those times where I’m totally OK with eating some crow. Oh, and for those of you who skipped it, there’s some fancy stats for you in there as well. [Canucks Army]
If you fancy a good shap, and I think at least two of you might, then you’ll like this one. Jason Botchford from The Province talks trade, and the Canucks need to make one relatively soon. [The Province]
Rob really likes Mike Gillis. I mean, really likes him. He went as far as to detail his record as Canucks GM. He was generous enough to leave out the charcoal drawings he has of the Canucks GM. Thanks, Rob. [Rob the Hockey Guy]
That’s all for me tonight, folks. I’ll be back tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll have a little more to talk about. Thanks for reading.
