The NHL Draft Lottery has come and gone, and wouldn’t you know it, the probable has happened.
The Montreal Canadiens, who had the best odds at landing the first overall pick, had the balls fall in their favour and won the first opportunity to draft Shane Wright.
The Canucks, who entered the draft lottery with just a 0.5% chance of moving up ten spots and snagging the fifth overall pick, will select 15th overall.
The NHL put new rules into place this season that made it impossible for teams outside of the bottom 11 of the league standings to win the first overall selection.
There are plenty of options for the Canucks to select at 15, and we (mostly Faber) are already hard at work breaking down and watching film on each player the Canucks could select.
