Nation Network Radio, presented by CanucksArmy, was back on the airwaves yesterday, live for just the second time since its inception in the 3-5 PM slot on Saturday that we will usually occupy going forward.
As always, it was TSN’s Jon Abbott alongside CanucksArmy’s own J.D. Burke, talking all things Vancouver Canucks with varied perspectives ranging from the numbers to the eye test and back again.
Burke and Abbott start the discussion by recapping the Canucks last week. The losses are mounting, and their underlying data seems to suggest that it’s warranted. What impact is Chris Tanev’s absence already having on the Canucks? What is the optimal lineup? Does Derek Dorsett belong in an optimal Canucks lineup? The two dive head first into these and a number of other Canucks topics from the last week.
In the second hour of the show, Burke and Abbott are joined by CanucksArmy and FearTheFin.com’s own Sie Morley to preview the Canucks match with the Sharks last night, and to get into her excellent coverage of the Canucks ECHL affiliate, the Kalamazoo Wings. The following segment, CanucksArmy’s Jeremy Davis gets everyone up to speed on the state of the Utica Comets, before discussing his article about Erik Gudbranson and the sunk cost fallacy.
