Canucks V. Sharks Scoring Chance Data

I did a long recap of the game over at Pass it to Bulis, so I recommend you check that out over there if you’re interested.
A quick "by the numbers" recap: The Canucks were pretty lucky to come away from San Jose with the win. Cory Schneider played some truly brilliant hockey and bailed out his team, who were out-chanced nearly two to one overall. The Sedins had a rough game (despite Henrik’s power-play goal) and were made into something of a liability thanks to the stellar work of M.E. Vlasic, Brent Burns and Joe Pavelski especially. Also, the Sharks fourth line of Desjardins/A. Murray and Clowe/Winchester really took it too Lapierre and company.
The second line of Kesler, HIggins and Booth had their second straight quality outing and were far and away Vancouver’s best line. David Booth was particularly strong, and may have had his best game in a Canucks uniform. Had he scored on his shot in the second period that hit the post, he’d have personally played Van Helsing and put an early stake in the Sharks’ chances before the third period had started.
Finally, Alberts and Ballard were surprisingly effective tonight. Though I thought he looked really good on the PK, Kevin BIeksa had his worst game since the Canucks 5-1 loss in Minnesota, and his decision making was especially bad late in the third period.
