Fast Facts
> Logjammin’: Another game, another team caught in the bottom half mess of the Western Conference playoffs. This time it’s Anaheim who is sandwiched between Nashville and Los Angeles (the last two Vancouver opponents) and currently hold the ninth seed, one point out of the dance. With a win tonight, they can leapfrog the ideal Kings and into the top eight. The Ducks have won four straight (all by a single goal) and can ice one of the more ornery lineups in the league (Ruutu on the third, Parros and Brookbank on the fouth). Ryan has scored three times against the Canucks this season and Perry and Selanne have found the back of the net twice. The Ducks lead the season series 2-0-1.
> Being the Best: The Canucks have some positives to build off yesterday’s 3-1 win, chief of which was the first line domination of scoring chances against the best the Kings had. It’s not often the likes of Mitchell, Doughy and Scuderi are made to look bad, but the Sedins and the Kesler line did just that and it was a big reason for their win. Heading into today the key thing to focus on would be Vancouver’s plummeting PP (0-15 in the last five games). The Ducks PK is a huge weakness and a few PP goals could be all that’s needed. Otherwise, much like against the Kings, expect a chippy affair.
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: Daniel Sedin’s GWG yesterday gave him eight for the year, tying his career best he’s notched in 2006-07 and in 2009-10.
